Wireless Network Access Information for Patrons
Registration
Instructions

The Biomedical Library is pleased to announce the addition of wireless internet access at our main campus site. Now you can browse the internet and visit our electronic datebases and resources from your laptop.

To use our wireless network you will need a 802.11b wireless network adapter installed in your computer. You can purchase one for less than $100.00 at local retailers such as Best Buy, Office Depot and Office Max. You will then need to fill out our registration form and bring it in to us along with your laptop so we can add in a security password needed to access our system. We will also need the M.A.C. address of your wireless network adapter. This is the unique serial number of the network adapter and is often printed on the adapter or listed on the owner registration card. It should be a 12 digit number that looks like this: 00-06-25-AA-D1-1B or this: 00:06:25:AA:D1:1B.

If you are having problems finding your M.A.C address click on the "Instructions" link to the left. Registration forms can downloaded using the "Registration" link to the left or they may be picked up at bot the Circulation and Reference desks. Please call systems at 460-1377 for an appointment time to bring in your form and laptop.
