Classes - The Biomedical Library offers a wide array of instructional services to meet the needs of University faculty, staff, and students. This includes course-related instruction, computer resource classes, and individual assistance & instruction.
Distance Education - Policies and procedures for access to library collections and services by students enrolled in USAOnline classes.
Document Delivery - Request forms and policies for obtaining material from other libraries or commercial vendors and photocopy service for articles from our collection.
Media Production Services - Media Production Services (MPS) provides quality and timely products to support teaching, research, patient care, and publications for faculty, students, and staff. In addition to production services, MPS provides consultation and design support for presentations, exhibits, instructional programs, facilities, or any media-related projects.
Outreach/SOUTHmed - Information contact source for area health professionals, provide basic consultation services for hospitals, provide reference service for hospital libraries, publish a newsletter, provide instruction and support for National Library of Medicine services and products such as PubMed and Loansome Doc.
Reference Desk - Assistance with basic reference, instruction in use of OPAC, databases, and print indexes, pathfinders, mediated computer searching, consultations in the optimal use of the library's resources.
Subject Liaisons - Librarians help select materials for the Biomedical Library with the help of individual departments.
Systems Department - (coming) Takes care of all workstation computers in the library and many servers.
Technical Services - Acquisitions, collection development, and cataloging. Suggest new items to be purchased by the library.
