This is a select list of print and Internet Cancer resources of interest to medical researchers.  Many more Internet resources, other than the ones listed, mention Cancer.   However, the following resources were selected and evaluated by a librarian for their content, currency, authority, and organization.
National Cancer Institute's CancerNet    http://cancernet.nci.nih.gov
  • CancerLit - Bibliographic database of more than 1.4 million citations and abstracts from over 4,000 different sources  including biomedical journals, proceedings, books, reports, and doctoral theses. Coverage is 1963 to present.
  • PDQ - Physicians Data Query - Includes peer reviewed summaries on cancer treatment, screening,  prevention, and supportive care, a worldwide clinical trials registry, and directories of health  professionals and organizations involved in cancer care.
  • Cancer Trials - NCI's comprehensive clinical trials information center with a searchable database.

A comprehensive, current site authored by a radiation oncologist providing up-to-date net links, features, bulletin boards, and newsletters on the topic of cancer. 

Oncolink - University of Pennsylvania's Cancer Center http://oncolink.upenn.edu/
Provides information on cancer, medical support care, "cutting edge" cancer research, and a searchable database of all open UPCC Clinical Trials.

Medscape Oncology http://oncology.medscape.com/Home/Topics/oncology/oncology.html
A professional level online news and reference service that focuses on cancer research and care. It includes a journal scan of the latest clinical research as well as conference summaries and events. Free  registration is required for first time users.

A comprehensive site including news, full text journals, reference documents, practice guidelines, and the latest news on chemotherapy treatments. Hosted by the National Library of Medicine.

Daily Oncology News Online http://www.meds.com/oncnewsindex.html
Read daily oncology news reprinted from a variety of sources at Meds.com. Site also includes Information Libraries which provide links to information sources on specific types of cancer for both healthcare professionals and consumers.
