College Briefs: USA professor takes national
chair

Dr. Christian R. Abee, chairman of the University
of South Alabama
Department of Comparative Medicine, was installed as president
of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine at the college's
recent meeting in Baltimore, Md.
The American College of Laboratory Medicine consists
of more
than 645 specialists in laboratory animal medicine.
Abee was certified as a specialist in the college
in 1975. Specialists
work for academic, governmental and private research organizations
providing veterinary medical care and research.
