Bandolier:
The intention behind Bandolier is to find information about evidence
of effectiveness (or lack of it), and put the results forward as simple
bullet points
of
those things that worked and those that did not: a bandolier with bullets.
Information comes from systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomised
trials, and from high quality observational studies.
Cochrane
Library: The Cochrane Library consists of a regularly updated
collection of evidence-based medicine databases, including The
Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Database of Abstracts
of Reviews of Effects and other databases.
Database of Abstracts of Reviews
of Effects (DARE): A database of
quality assessed reviews written by staff from the NHS Centre
for Reviews
and Dissemination.
Dynamed: A medical
information database with over 1,800 clinical topic summaries
that is designed for use at the point of care. Links to supporting
literature are provided, updated daily.
Effective Clinical
Practice: Online journal from the American College of
Physicians and American Society of Internal Medicine, focusing
on the interface between health services research and clinical
practice. Effective
Clinical Practice seeks to answer questions about how best
and how often to deliver medical care.

National Guideline Clearinghouse:
a resource for evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
Evidence Based Practice - While many of the above are also useful to Nursing and Allied Health professionals, the below are specifically designed for Evidence-Based Practice.
Joanna Briggs Institute:
an evidence based practice database of a collaborative (nursing, medicine and allied health professionals) evaluation of "evidence derived from a diverse range of resources, including experience, expertise and all forms of rigours research and and the synthesis, transfer and utilisation of the 'best available ' evidence into health care practice". (from the JBI website)
OT Seeker:
OTseeker is a database that contains abstracts of systematic reviews and randomised controlled trials relevant to occupational therapy. Trials have been critically appraised and rated to assist you to evaluate their validity and interpretability. These ratings will help you to judge the quality and usefulness of trials for informing clinical interventions.
