Copyright: an Overview: this site from the Legal Information Institute at Cornell University provides an overview on copyright.

Copyright and Fair Use: a site from Stanford University that includes links to many sites that examine the concept of fair use of copyrighted materials.

Copyright Clearance Center: formed in 1978 to facilitate compliance with U.S. copyright law, the CCC is the largest licenser of text reproduction rights in the world. CCC provides licensing systems for the reproduction and distribution of copyrighted materials in print and electronic formats.

Copyright Education Program from the American Library Association (ALA): this site contains educational materials and programs about copyright, and addresses such areas as copyright in libraries, education research, and on the Internet.

Copyright Law in the Electronic Environment: an overview of copyright law in an online environment, developed by the Office of General Counsel for the University of Texas System.
