Our invited speaker on Friday morning will be Joyce Cauthen, the Executive Director of the Alabama Folklife Association. Ms. Cauthen has written and spoken extensively on folk culture, and will share her knowledge regarding urban legends, in her talk "The Rumormonger Amongst Us: Dealing with the Urban Legends, Rumors and Hoaxes our E-mail Brings". Following her talk, you are encouraged to participate as Ms. Cauthen and Pat Wagner address your questions about the impacts of technology on communication.
