Instrumentation:

The laboratory houses a Photon Technology Incorporated (PTI), M-Series, microscope-based photometry system including an Olympus IMT-2 inverted microscope and microcomputer with data acquisition and analysis software. Please note --- this microscope is also available for routine observation of fluorescent samples if you simply want to know whether, and to what degree, a sample has been stained; however, please call in advance to make certain it is not currently in use and to permit time for removal, if necessary, of the fiber optic cable and insertion of the mercury arc lamp housing.

Other Equipment:

The laboratory also houses a waterbath, pH meter, Shandon Cytospin centrifuge, and laminar-flow tissue culture hood. In addition, the PTI photometer microscope stage can be temperature controlled.
