8:30 am – 12:00 pm Bellingrath Gardens and Home, Theodore, Alabama
The coach will be at the Adams Mark Hotel to depart for the Bellingrath Gardens and Home. The historic Bellingrath Home with its rich furnishings and rare art collection is located in the midst of 65 acres of landscaped gardens on a bluff overlooking Fowl River. World-class gardens feature a vivid display of blooming flowers and shrubs. The surrounding wilderness is a bird sanctuary. This property was featured on America’s Castles TV show. The cost is $28 per person with a minimum of 15 people.
9:30 am – 5:00 pm Grand Casino, Biloxi, Mississippi
Board your coach at Adams Mark Hotel and depart for the Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. The cost will be $15 per person with a minimum of 30 people. You will receive $5.00 in silver to play in the slots.
10:00 am – 12:30 pm USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park
The coach will take you to the 100-acre park features the USS Alabama, a World War II battleship; the submarine USS Drum; the “Calamity Jane,” a B-52 Stratofortress; a “Blackbird” spy planes; a P51-D Mustang Redtail, the plane flown by the Tuskegee airmen; and other rare and historic aircraft. An indoor aircraft pavilion and an awarding winning rose garden are also located at the park. For information, check out the webpage at: http://www.ussalabama.com/. The cost will be $15 per person with a minimum of 10 people.
10:15 am – 12:15 pm Tour of Historic Mobile
Board your coach at Adams Mark Hotel for a tour of historic Mobile, which include the Detonti Square Historic District, Mobile’s oldest surviving residential district with homes dating to the 1830s and 1850s; the Church Street East Historic District, Mobile’s second oldest existing residential neighborhood; the Okleigh Garden Historic District, developed after the Civil War; and the Dauphin Street Historic District, with buildings from the mid-1800s to the early 1940s. You will ride through the historic districts, and stop at one of the Ante-bellum museum homes. The cost is $15 with a minimum of 20 people.
1:30 pm – 4:30 pm Swamp Tour – Wildland Expeditions
Board the coach at Adams Mark Hotel for the two-hour narrated expeditions on the boat of “Gator Bait”. The boat will take you into the Delta-Swamp to view the lush vegetation and remarkable variety of wildlife, swamps, tidal marshes, winding bayous and sloughs. The cost is $30 per person for a minimum of 18 people. This tour can only take 20 people. Please sign up early to reserve your spot.
Note: trips without the minimum people may be canceled and fees paid will be refunded.
